Site structure, website design and build, hosting and launch

Design Intervention is a Mumbai studio that designs and builds the rooms companies are seen in: XR and news studios, exhibition pavilions, film sets, sales offices and specialty builds. Its work includes the Adani Group's corporate XR studio and a Republic Day tableau that won the President's Gold in 2012. Online, it was still a site from years earlier that listed every discipline it had ever practised, from game shows to face masks, while the work it sells today lived in a profile deck.

Its buyers are corporate teams planning a pavilion or a studio, broadcasters and film crews, and design firms looking for someone to build their drawings. Each arrives with one job in mind and needs to see quickly that this studio has built it before, for names they know. Five lines of work as far apart as an LED volume and a CNC workshop could easily read as five small companies. The brief asked for a page per service, the flagship work up front and a direct way to start a project.

I built the site the way the studio sells, with a page for each line of work: XR studios, exhibitions, film and TV, specialty fabrication and interiors. Every one of them opens the same way, on a title and a picture of that kind of room, so the five read as one studio. Each page then hands over to the real thing, Design Intervention's own studios, pavilions and sets, brought out of the profile decks they had lived in. For this case study I rebuilt the site’s five rooms at full size, as places you could stand in; on the site they stay small isometric pictures.

Everything else stays quiet: white pages in the system's own type, headings and pictures that rise out of a soft blur as they arrive, and the company's orange kept for labels, the active link and the call to action that closes each service page. The site went live in November 2025 at mumbai.designintervention.biz, and the company's own domain now opens on a choice between its Mumbai and Goa branches.
