I put it where the Mac already has a place nobody uses: the notch. Double-tap Option and the island opens over whatever is in front of you, already holding the window and your work, so you can ask about either. When something needs you, the notch glows, and every card says where it came from. A promise made in a reply lands on the calendar with Undo; a draft is ready before the due date, and Copy is the only way out. Nothing is sent and nothing runs without a press.
The memory stays in one file on the Mac, with secrets taken out before anything is kept, and Claude sees only what a moment needs, through one locked-down door. The same memory opens every Claude Code session where the last one stopped.
The film explains it the way the product feels, one surface at a time, with the island at its true size on a 14 inch MacBook Pro and every container measured from the app itself. Its second half shows where Freebyrd is heading, still concepts today: a picture of how the work moves between apps, things prepared before you reach for them, and a night shift that offers one thing and the morning it buys.
